Christine Carpenter

OWNER / MAP & PRINT CONSERVATOR

Christine Carpenter started apprenticing at her father’s bindery in 1989. Having been raised at the bindery and surrounded by antiques her whole life , she was destined to this career. As she transitioned to owner, 5 years ago,  she continued her primary work as a map and flat paper conservator. She also enrolled in the most recent course ‘Chemistry for Conservation’, to keep all of us up to date on the latest findings and techniques. When Christine needs a break from keeping the cogs of the bindery turning, she can be found enjoying hiking, kayaking and spending time with her grandkids!
